Artist's Comments

I finally tried to scan a drawing bigger than the scanner itself. This took 6 different scans, and I had to attempt to put them all together in photoshop. The scanner makes strange yellow lines on the bottom of anything it scans, so I tried my best to hide it. There are some places I couldn't change without messing the area up completely. I wanted to use as little Photoshop as possible. Overall, I'm happy with what I could do. At least I got to scan it at all.

It's a self-portrait from earlier this year. I left out the eyes because mine are constantly decieving me with mental distortions of how I see myself in the mirror. I can't really explain it, but I wonder what good my eyes are if I'm only seeing what my mind is telling me. I could possibly have an eating disorder which would contribute to that idea. I'm probably not making sense, so I'll leave it at that.

Charcoal on 18 x 24 inch drawing paper.

Hey, how come we all avoid the scraps, i think they're a more honest expression of an artist style and a chance to reverse-engineer the process, sooooo, give the scraps a chance people. [link] Hey, i look at yours
